Elementary North's rENovations

As we end the 22-23 school year, we want to take this opportunity to share some exciting plans and renovations for our building. In November of 2018, voters supported the district issuing $48.7 million in bonds to fund facility improvements in five phases. Elementary North is part of the fifth and final phase of the construction that will begin this summer.

Due to the age of the building and its infrastructure, the entire building will be refreshed with new mechanical systems, cabinetry, flooring, lighting fixtures, and furniture. All classrooms, pod spaces, and hallways, including closed student belonging storage, will be updated. The library will receive a total refresh, including flexible shelving and furniture, and adaptable learning spaces that will serve multiple disciplines. There will also be a new band room designed for music instruction with instrument storage. Specially designed sensory and regulation rooms will support diverse student needs. The gym, multipurpose room, cafeteria, and offices will also be updated.

The entire construction timeline is projected to span 15 months, with full completion anticipated for the start of the 2024-2025 school year. Our students will continue to receive high-quality instruction within the walls of Elementary North during the project. It is anticipated that some classrooms will move once during the school year. If this applies to your child, you will be notified in advance.

We are looking forward to a great school year and improved facilities. Thank you for your support.
